Alcoutim Festival 2026 Program

September 11: Tony Carreira

The first day coincides with the Municipality Day celebrations. Street entertainment begins at 5:00 PM, followed by music, dancing, and, at midnight, the Tony Carreira concert. After the fireworks, the party continues with Banda DFB, Diego Miranda, and DJ Xinha until the early hours.

September 12: David Antunes and pyromusical show

Saturday begins with an international football match at 6:00 PM and a sunset party at the South Quay at 7:00 PM. At midnight, David Antunes & The Midnight Band, featuring Jéssica Cipriano, will perform.

The night also includes a pyromusical show, combining music and fireworks over the Guadiana. The entertainment continues with Crazy Band, KX Connection, and DJ Xinha.

September 13: Ivandro

The final day brings back some of the festival's most curious traditions. Starting at 4:00 PM, the Guadiana River Swimming Crossing, Duck Catching, and Grease Pole events will take place.

After entertainment, Zumba, and dancing, Ivandro takes the stage at 11:00 PM. Fireworks follow, and the party continues into the early morning.

A different kind of festival by the Guadiana

The Alcoutim Festival goes far beyond the concerts. For three days, the small town near the Spanish border transforms into one of the major meeting points in the Algarve interior.

The river is part of the festival itself. The water sports, the fireworks reflected in the Guadiana, and the entertainment on the quay create a setting very different from the large events held on the coast.

How to get there and where to park?

Given the expected turnout, the Municipality has reinforced transport services and created an additional parking area in Alcoutim.

The special “Embarque na Festa” (Board the Party) service also provides connections between Vaqueiros, Martim Longo, Giões, Pereiro, and Alcoutim during the event days.

Is it worth visiting the Alcoutim Festival?

Yes. It is an opportunity to combine a major popular event with the discovery of a part of the Algarve that many visitors are still unaware of.

Between music, popular traditions, sports, and nights by the Guadiana, the 73rd Alcoutim Festival shows exactly what is worth discovering in the interior of the region: an Algarve that is also experienced far from the beaches.

Program subject to change. Please check the official channels of the Municipality of Alcoutim before traveling.
